Primer Automation Lab (PAL)
Too much of your HR work is done manually, and you know some of it could be automated.
PAL is a live build programme. You bring a people or process problem from your own work and build the fix yourself: a tool, an automated workflow, or a better process.

The Launchpad is our cohort programme for people starting out in HR. It runs under HR Primer, our home for aspiring HR professionals.

Corporate Training and PAL In-House

We design and run training for your HR team, your leadership team or all your employees, built around how your company works. PAL In-House brings the Lab to your HR team, using our Capability Transfer Method, so your team keeps building after we leave.

Hackathon winner
HR of the Future Hackathon 2025
Bilikis couldn’t use Airtable when she joined the Lab. She went on to build an AI-powered culture-fit assessment tool, entered it at the HR of the Future Hackathon at Kendor Consulting’s HR Bootcamp Conference 2025, and won. The prize came to almost three times what she paid for the programme.

A live appraisal cycle
Performance Management System · now in use
Victoria built a full Performance Management System in the Lab. Her management approved it, her company ran its appraisal cycle on it, and it saved them an HRIS subscription. She now co-coaches in the Lab.

What’s coming up
A new PAL workshop most months.
Each one-off workshop takes one HR problem and builds the fix in a single live session on Google Meet. They usually run on the last Tuesday of the month, and some months there’s a free class too.
